Shark Teeth
When a permanent tooth erupts in front of, behind, or to the side of the primary tooth.
- This is very common and often is seen on the lower front, upper front, and 1st primary molar region of the mouth.
- When we start to see the permanent tooth emerge we encourage wiggling the baby tooth as often as possible to start loosening the gingival fibers and allow natural exfoliation.
- If after 8 weeks the baby tooth has not started to loosen up and show forward progression we recommend making an appointment with us to determine next best steps.
